Surfing and more Surfing : That's the key attraction to Weligama. There are several surf sites where we can take you to LEARN TO SURF or be an INTERMEDIATE surfer. The Bays are relavitely close to one another and the warm waters and shallow beaches make it easy to learn surfing. While the best surfing conditions on the south coast are from October to March, Weligama offers year-round surfing opportunities. The off-season, from April to September, can also be a good time to surf with fewer crowds and larger waves for more experienced surfers.
